At the Skin Rejuvenation Center, we provide only the treatments with the highest degree of safety and effectiveness for the least amount of cost, discomfort and downtime. No hospital, no general anesthesia, or (almost never) prescription pain medication. My field of special interest is the treatment of undesirable cosmetic conditions using minimal to moderately invasive methods. The trend in recent years has been moving rapidly in the direction of safer, less radical methods through new materials, devices and technology. Many researchers and clinicians continue to show a great deal of creativity and innovation. I am enjoying my work as I participate in this trend. "I need a facelift!" I hear this declaration pretty often and in some cases, I agree. However, patients usually have no idea how much can be accomplished far short of a facelift. Simple, safe, rapid recovery procedures can be done at relatively low cost. In-office evaluation There is no substitute for an in-office consultation and thorough discussion with the doctor. It is pretty common for patients to read or hear about a procedure and conclude: "That’s what I need!" The problem is that an excellent procedure is not excellent for every person, but must be suited to the individual. You must have the condition for which a given procedure is designed or else you are facing disappointment. These days you usually have options as to how you can correct a cosmetic problem, which requires decision making. Recovery time etc. We are in the expectation business. Patients have a tendency to expect immediate perfection, no pain or discomfort, and no down time. In spite of the great advances made in less invasive cosmetic procedures, almost everything we do requires at least a few days for the appearance to normalize.and sometimes a few weeks. Activities can usually be resumed very quickly, however. My goal in writing this website is to provide information as accurately and as realistically as I can, because that usually leads to the best patient decisions and expectations.
